In a quiet little corner of Georgia, about two hours Southwest of Downtown Atlanta, is a fabulous State Park called F.D. Roosevelt. Located in Pine Mountain, Georgia, FDR State Park has six Camping “Rings” that can accommodate tents to larger RV’s, several Cabins and many miles of hiking trails. Nearby is the Little White House where FDR took in the “waters” for his health. Callaway Gardens is directly outside the back gate of FDR State Park as well as the small town of Pine Mountain, GA.
Although the sites on Ring 1 thru 4 are a bit tight and oddly laid out, Ring 5 is for the bigger rigs, including our 28′ Argosy. Ring 6 is for popups or tents. One of our Top 3 favorite Campsites is at FDR. Book a year early for the Fall Leaves and for their big Halloween Trick or Tricking Weekend!
