One of many busted pipes
After installing a new countertop and sink, it was time to test the water. Holy Moly, did we have leaks!!! We found three different places where the copper pipe had holes. Crap.
There was a busted pipe under the kitchen cabinets, another under the bathtub and another under the bathroom sink.
Red Pex being installed.
We had not planned on changing out the copper pipe for pex until later in the year but that has changed with all these holes.
The Outdoor Shower Box.
Meanwhile, we have a chance to double check our installation of our Outdoor Shower box. This was not something we wanted to do. Who the heck cuts into the wall of an Airstream!! One of the previous owners decided to cut through the wall and run a garden hose through a large square hole for an outdoor shower. They decided to do this because they ripped out the original tub. If you are confused, so are we. The only logical choice we had was to complete the bathroom with a tub and to install a real outside shower.
Tool Time!
This is also a great time to mention that I am trying to keep everything as original as possible. With busted copper pipes, they had to go. No way to keep that original.
Sourcing
We bought our Pex at Home Depot as well as our local Ace Hardware.
NOTE: We do not receive products for free to blog. Everything you see on this post we paid for ourselves.
