Propane while driving an RV or Trailer

The PO of our Argosy told me that they would load up the fridge, turn on the propane and drive on down the road to their camp spot. Hmmm, not sure if that is a good idea or not.

I like the idea of having a loaded fridge vs a loaded cooler but driving with propane on seems a bit Darwinish.
